House Rewire Electricians in Greater Manchester

A rewire replaces the cabling, and usually the consumer unit, in a property whose wiring has reached the end of its life: rubber or fabric-sheathed cable, too few sockets, or an old fuse box. Firms here describe full rewires and partial ones that cover a kitchen, an extension or one floor.

A rewire involves new circuits, so it is notifiable work under Part P. Ask whether the electrician is registered with a competent person scheme so it can self-certify, and expect an Electrical Installation Certificate and a Building Regulations compliance certificate once the job is done. The firms below each say on their own website that they take on rewires.
